GUISADONG SITCHARO AT PRITONG SPAM!
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 6 with steamed rice
4 tbsp cooking oil
1 large onion, peeled and sliced thinly
1 knob ginger, thinly sliced
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 small red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced (for color only)
2 bunch sotanghon soaked in warm water for 10 minutes until soft.
1 lb snow peas
SAUCE:
2 cups water
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sugar
Combine the above ingredients and divide in half
Stir in cornstarch in the other half and dissolve.
1 tbsp cornstarch
Pre heat oil in a pan.
Saute onions, ginger for 2 minutes
Add garlic and bell pepper and cook for 1 minute
Add sotanghon and half of the sauce.
Add half of the sauce without cornstarch.
Bring to simmer.
Add sitcharo and combine well.
Adjust heat to medium and cover.
Cook for 1 minute.
Add half of the sauce with cornstarch to thicken.
Stir
cover.
Cook for another minute using low heat.
Turn off heat.
Serve.
