Prep time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 8
1 lb pork belly
fish sauce
1 onion, peeled and chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 large sayote, pitted, peeled and cut into small pieces
salt and pepper
1 large carrot, peeled and diced
2 cups green beans, cut into desired length
2 cups chopped celery
2 cups shredded green cabbage
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 cups snow peas or sitcharo, ends removed
1 lb medium size shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups pre fried tofu, diced
Cook pork for 12 minutes until brown
Season with fish sauce
Add onions and cook for 3 minutes
Stir non stop
Add garlic and continue to cook
Add sayote and cook for 5 minutes until soft
Season with salt and pepper
After 3 minutes – sayote is cooked already.
Add carrots and cook for 2 minutes
Add green beans and cook for a minute
then add celery and continue to cook
Add mushrooms and cook for a minute
Add sitcharo and add shrimp.
Do not over cook
Add cabbage and continue to cook.
Add pre- cooked tokwa and cook
Turn heat to low and continue for a few more minutes.
Put the lid back and allow to steam cook for 3 minutes. Done!
Let’s cook the noodles
using LA MODA noodles
Pre heat 3 cups of water to a boil
Add soy sauce and season with ground pepper
Add noodles and press into the broth.
Cover and cook until soft.
