How to make Puto Pandan
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Cooking time: 7 minutes
- Yields: 9 rice cakes/puto pandan
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 tbsp pandan extract
Bring a big pot of water to a boil.
Meanwhile, combine all ingredients making sure they are smooth and no lumps.
Coat molders with either melted butter or cooking spray.
Place molders in a steaming rack.
Place molds on the steamer.
Evenly divide batter into molds.
Cover with a cotton cloth on top.
Cover with the lid.
Steam for 7 minutes.
Remove rice cakes from the molder.
You can brush it with melted butter on top before serving.
