TURON SPECIAL – BANANA EGGROLLS WITH CHOPPED PEANUTS
Prep time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Yields: 8 pcs
4 large bananas (using Saba), peeled and cut in half -lengthwise
1 cup dark brown sugar
Eggroll wrappers (8 pcs)
2 cups chopped dry roasted peanuts
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Combine sugar,cinnamon and peanuts
Roll halved bananas into the mixture.
Wrap bananas using the eggroll wrappers.
Seal edges with water so it won’t open when frying
Pre heat cooking oil then fry turon.
Cook until golden brown.
Immediately roll banana rolls into the left over sugar and peanuts.
Cool down until it is set before consuming.
