STIR FRIED PORK WITH CABBAGE AND GREEN BEANS
Prep time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 to 4
6 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 lb lean pork,cut into cubes
salt and pepper
2 tbsp cornstarch
a knob of ginger,peeled and sliced thinly
a few stalks of green onions
1 medium size onion, peeled and sliced thinly
5 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth (if you want it to have a little sauce)
3 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
1 tbsp Chili Garlic sauce
ground pepper
2 cups shredded green cabbage
2 cups green beans cut into 2 inch length
Season pork with salt and pepper
Coat with cornstach
Pre heat oil and fry pork until cooked and brown.
Set aside.
Saute ginger and green onions
Add onions and cook for 2 minutes.
Add pork back.
Add soy sauce, Chinese wine, oyster sauce and chili garlic sauce.
Add a little broth if using.
If so – bring to a boil
before adding cabbage and green beans
Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.
Cover and turn off heat and allow carry over cooking cook the vegetables (2 minutes)
Serve with steamed rice.
