How to make Pork in Oyster Sauce
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Yields: 6 with steamed rice
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp ground pepper
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 ½ pounds pork tenderloin, cut into thin slices
5 tbsp cooking oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
10 oz yellow onion, cut into half rings
8 oz green bell pepper, diced (seeded)
2 cups scallions, cut into long strips
½ cup water
3 tbsp oyster sauce
In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, ground pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil and
pork. Cover with plastic wrap and keep in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or longer
to develop flavor.
When ready, pre heat oil in a large pan for a minute and add pork.
Cook pork between 5 to 7 minutes depending on the cut you made and what part of
pork you used. Cook until brown.
Add garlic, onion, bell pepper and scallions.
Stir.
Meanwhile, combine water and oyster sauce in a small cup.
Add oyster sauce and water combination
Stir and continue to cook for 1 ½ minutes.
Cover.
Uncover and stir.
Serve with steamed rice.
