BUMBONG THE EASY WAY
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Yields: 8 rolls/pcs
1 cup glutinous rice flour
1/2 cup rice flour
1 tbsp ube powder
1 cup (minus 3 1/2 tbsp) water
2 drops ube food color
banana leaves
toppings:
fresh grated coconut (2 cups)
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup condensed milk
Combine flour and ube powder in a bowl.
Add food color to the water
Slowly add and mix water into the dry ingredients.
Take note of my measurement – please do not put the entire cup of water.
Clean banana leaves and make it soft (mircowave it or in an open flame)
Divide mixture into 8 pcs.
Roll each portion into small logs.
Place on banana leaves and roll.
Steam for 10 minutes and cool down.
Drizzle melted butter, then add coconut, milk and brown sugar.
Serve right away.
