BUDGETED GINATAANG LANGKA – NO PORK NO SHRIMP
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 with steamed rice
2 oz daing – toasted
4 tbsp cooking oil
1 large onion, peeled and chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 can green jack fruit, brine removed, and cut into small pieces
1 tbsp bagoong
2 oz small dried shrimp or hibe
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup coconut cream
Pre heat oil and saute onions and garlic.
After 2 minutes add hibe and bagoong and cook for 30 seconds.
Add coconut milk and cook for 2 minutes
Add coconut cream and cook for 2 minutes
Add labuyo and fold in dried fish.
Season with ground pepper.
Serve with steamed rice.
