ADOBONG PUSIT OR GINISANG OCTOPUS?
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4 with toasted bread for appetizers or steamed rice as main dish
1 lb pre cooked octopus, sliced into small pieces and thinly
Cooking spray
salt and pepper
4 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, peeled and chopped
2 medium size tomatoes, chopped
10 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup water
Juice of 1/2 lemon
4 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp dried oregano
4 tbsp cream cheese softened
1/2 cup chopped scallions
Coat a non stick skillet with cooking spray.
Pan grilled sliced octopus for 2 minutes. Set aside.
Pre heat cooking oil for a minute
Saute onions and tomatoes for 3 minutes.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Add lemon juice.
Add fish sauce and water.
Bring to a boil.
Add cream cheese and organo.
Adjust heat to low.
Add octopus and green onions.
Combine well.
Serve.
