SHRIMP TEMPURA IN TUNA SPREAD
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 2 minutes
Serves: 4 as appetizers
note: I adjusted the recipe to serve 4 people for small appetizers
2 whites
1 cup cornstarch
20 pcs large shrimp/prawns shelled but tails intact – peeled and deveined
salt and pepper
cooking oil
1 cup tuna spread or mayonnaise
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp condensed milk
2 tbsp lime zest
Combine egg whites and cornstarch and season with salt and pepper.
Combine with shrimp.
Pre heat oil to 350 F.
Safely fry shrimp for a minute.
In a bowl, combine tuna spread,honey, milk and salt and pepper.
Toss shirmp
Sprinkle with lime zest.
Serve right away.
