Shrimp Egg Foo Yong- your dinner tonight. Enjoy!
My first try to cook Shrimp Egg foo yong!
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Yields: 3 large patties
1 cup of each shredded cabbage, carrots, mushrooms and chopped scallions
1 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined and chopped
6 eggs beaten
salt and pepper
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups cooking oil (Canola, Peanut, Vegetable)
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
2 cups vegetable broth or water
Combine vegetales, shrimp, eggs, salt and pepper and baking powder.
Pre heat oil for about 4 to 5 minutes until 350 F.
Divide mixture into three.
Fry each portion for 6 minutes turning once.
Remove from fryer and set aside.
Meanwhile, make the sauce.
Heat broth.
In a bowl, add cornstarch and sugar. Add oyster sauce.
Add a little broth to the mixture.
Slowly whisk cornstarch mixture into boiling broth.
Keep stirring for a minute until thick.
Serve with patties.
