Prep time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves: 8 big servings with toasted garlic bread.
2 tbsp olive oil
12 oz chopped yellow onion, peeled and chopped
1 ½ lb fresh tomatoes, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp Italian seasoning, (video says 1 tsp but I added more)
1 small can tomato sauce
1/3 cup Marsala wine.
12 oz penne pasta or any kind of pasta
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup chopped fresh basil leaves
3 tbsp fresh oregano leaves
4 tbsp olive oil for cooking the pork
2 tbsp ground pork.
4 oz grated cheese – I used parmesan cheese but you can use cheese of your own
choice.

Saute onions for 3 minutes until soft.
While sautéing your onions, cook pasta according to package instructions.
Add tomatoes to the onions in the pan and cook for 3 minutes until soft.
Add garlic and season with salt and pepper. Add Italian seasoning.
Add tomato sauce.
Add marsala wine.
Cook for 2 to 5 minutes and adjust heat to medium stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions.
Add sugar, stir.
Add cream and stir.
Cool down sauce and then add fresh herbs.
Set aside.
In another pan, heat oil for a minute and add ground pork.
Cook pork between 8 to 10 minutes until brown.
Season pork with salt and pepper.
Turn off heat.
Slowly add sauce to the cooked ground pork. Combine well.
Add pasta and combine well.
Add cheese.
