“CHINESE STYLE” STEAMED FISH (COD) WITH GINGER AND SCALLIONS
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Serves: 2 people
1 cup sliced scalliions
2 oz peeled ginger, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
10 cloves garlic, minced
4 pcs (4 oz) cod fillets
salt and pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
5 tbsp sesame oil
4 tbsp soy sauce
Bring a pot of water to a boil
Place steamer basket on top.
Place fish and cover.
Steam for 6 minutes.
Remove fish from the steamer.
Remove water too from the fish.
Using a medium size skillet – add olive and sesame oil.
Add soy sauce.
Turn heat on and cook for about 1 1/2 minutes.
Turn off heat.
Add ginger and garlic.
Pour into steamed fish.
Garnish with scallions and cilantro.
Serve.
