STEAK AND GRAVY
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Yields: Dinner for 2 with side of sauteed vegetables
1 1/2 lb rib eye steak, cut into big pieces
salt and pepper
3 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all purpose flour
2 tbsp ketchup or tomato sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 cups broth
Any vegetables – I used strips of red, green and yellow bell pepper
pre heat pan and coat with cooking spray
Sear steaks on all sides (4 minutes)
Cook for another 2 minutes turning occasionally.
Remove from the pan.
Add olive oil
add butter and swirl to melt.
Add flour, stir to dissolve flour
Add tomato sauce, soy sauce and broth.
Bring to boil and cook for 7 minutes or until thick.
Season with ground pepper.
Drizzle on top of steak before serving.
