NILAGANG BAKA
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 45 minutes using pressure cooker
Serves: 4
6 lbs beef shanks with bone marrows and all
salt
ground pepper
2 large onions
3 corn in the cob – cut into large pieces
4 pcs saging na saba – cut in half
2 large kamote,peeled and cut into large chunks
12 pcs green beans
1/2 head cabbage, cut into large wedges
1 bunch pechay or bokchoy, washed
Rinse beef with cold water
Add water to the beef shanks and place in a pressure cooker.
Add salt, whole pepper and onions.
Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until tender.
Cool down and uncover.
Bring to a boil again and add corn.
Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
Uncover and add kamote and saging.
Cover and cook until kamote is soft.
Uncover and add green beans, cabbage and bokchoy.
Cover, adjust heat to low and cook for 3 minutes.
Serve with patis with lemon.
