“MONOK” CRISPY SHREDDED CHICKEN ADOBO

MONOK (CRISPY SHREDDED CHICKEN IN ADOBO FLAVOR)

Prep time: 10min
Cook time: 45 min
Serving: 6 people

Ingredients:
10 cups water
1 whole chicken, cut into half or 500 grams chicken breast, boiled and shredded
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup soy sauce
10 cloves garlic, minced
2 onions, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp ground pepper
4 pcs red chili chopped
4 cups cooking oil

In a pot, put water and chicken and boil for 20 minutes.
Remove from the pot and let it cool.
Shred the chicken.
Put the shredded chicken in a pre heated pan.
Add vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and onion.
Cover. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Uncover.
Add ground pepper and chilli.
Cover.
Simmer in low heat until the sauce becomes dry. ( about 8 minutes)
Uncover.
Add cooking oil and continue stirring until the chicken turns brown and toasted. ( about 12 minutes).
Remove from the pan.
MONOK IS COOKED.

GARLIC RICE

Prep time: 10 min
Cook time: 12 min
Serving: 6 people

Ingredients:
8 tbsp cooking oil
2 eggs fried
6 cloves garlic minced
500 grams white rice
1 tbsp salt
1 small carrot, peeled and chopped
1 small cup green onions

Beat the eggs.
In a pan, put about 3 tbsp of cooking oil and put the beaten eggs and fry.
Remove from the pan.
Add the remaining cooking oil.
Put garlic and cook until lightly brown.
Put the rice stirring continously for about 5 minutes.
Add salt.
Continue stirring.
Add carrots and green onion.
Cook for 5 minutes.( you can add more oil).
Add the eggs and continue cooking for about 2 minutes.
Serve with MONOK on top
