GINISANG BITSUELAS/SAUTEED GREEN BEANS WITH GLASS NOODLES

GINISANG BITSUELAS WITH SOTANGHON -SAUTEED GREEN BEANS WITH VERMICELLI NOODLES

Prep time: 30 min

Cook time: 45 minutes

Serving: 10 people

Ingredients:

2 kilos bitsuelas (green beans) –

2 big carrots cut into strips

4 tbsp cooking oil

5 cloves garlic minced

2 pcs onion chopped

4 pcs big tomatoes chopped

750 grams ground pork

1/4 pound sotanghon (vermicelli or glass noodles)

4 pcs big tomatoes chopped

2 pcs onion chopped

5 cloves garlic minced

10 tbsp fish sauce

10 cups water

Remove tips and ends of green beans and slice thinly and in an angle. set aside.

Peel and slice carrots thinly and about 3/4 inch in length. Set aside.

Soak noodles with cold water for 10 minutes to soften a little bit.

Using a large work pre heat cooking oil

Saute garlic, onion and tomatoes – total sauteing time is 3 to 5 minutes until aromatics are soft and mashed.

Add ground pork.
Season with fish sauce.

Cook for a minute then cover.

Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.

Uncover.
Add water.

Cover. Simmer for 10 minutes until the pork is fully cooked.

Uncover.
Add beans and carrots.

Cover and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat.

Do not over cook the beans.

Add more fish sauce if needed.

Uncover.
Put and press noodles over simmering broth.

Cover and simmer for 2 minutes over low heat.

Serve.
