GINATAANG SITAW AT KALABASA (SAUTEED BEANS AND SQUASH IN COCONUT CREAM)

Serving: 10 people
4 tbsp cooking oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 onions , peeled and chopped
5 tbsp alamang or bagoong (shrimp paste)
4 pcs chili pepper chopped (thai chiles)
1 kilo ground pork
2 to 3 cups of water
1medium size kalabasa (squash) – peeled and cut into big chunks
1 kilo sitaw (Chinese long beans), cut into 2 inch length
5 cups pure gata (coconut cream)
In a large wok, pre heat oil
Saute garlic and onion for 2 minutes.
Add the alamang and cook for about 5 minutes.
Add ground pork and 2 cups of water.
Simmer for 15 minutes until water is reduced to half and pork is cooked.
Add chili pepper.
Add squash. cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Uncover
Add sitaw and gata. (beans and coconut cream)
Cover
Let boil stirring occasionally for another 5 minutes.
Serve with steamed rice.
