I CHILLED IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR OVER NIGHT BEFORE I ROLLED THEM INTO SUGAR. Any presence of liquid or moisture will make your pastillas dipped in SIMPLE SYRUP. YOU DON’T WANT THAT DO YOU?
BREAKFAST PASTILLAS BALLS
Prep time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Serves: 12 to 14 balls
1 1/2 cups fresh milk
1/2 condensed milk
3/4 cup instant oatmeal
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup water
Keep stirring milk and oats after turning the heat.
Cook for 5 minutes until oats are cooked.
Add slurry to thicken – (cornstarch and water)
Keep stirring until thick.
Divide into two if you are making UBE BALLS.
It is important to make the oats cold and dry.
Mold into small balls.
Roll into sugar and eat right away.
