BREADED PORK CHOPS WITH MUSTARD AND CAPER SAUCE
Prep time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Yields: 6 servings
FOR THE PORK CHOPS
2 1/2 lbs thinly sliced porkchops
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper
1 cup plain bread crumbs
Cooking oil
Place flour in a bowl.
In another bowl – whisk eggs and add cream and season with salt and pepper.
in another bowl – place bread crumbs.
Dredge pork in the flour
then into eggs and cream
then into bread crumbs
Pre heat enough oil in a skillet and fry pork chops (oil temperature is 350 F)
Turn over after 3 minutes to brown the other side.
Fry until golden brown.
Fry between 5 to 7 minutes (for thin pork chops)
Remove and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
Meanwhile let’s cook the sauce.
I paired the pork with quinoa (frozen which I thawed). Please follow video if you want to make quinoa.
SAUCE INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp cooking oil
5 cloves garlic
2 tbsp chopped capers
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
salt and pepper
1 tbsp mustard
juice of 1 lemon (4 tbsp)
finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
Preheat oil for a minute.
Add garlic and capers
Add cream and chili garlic paste
Bring to a boil for 30 seconds
Season with salt.
Add 1 mustard and lemon (juice of 1 lemon)
Reduce heat to low.
turn off heat and add finely chopped parsley
Turn off heat.
Serve with pork chops.
