BEEF TAPA
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes (using sirloin steak slices)
Yields: serves 2 with fried rice
1/2 lb sirloin steak, sliced super thin.
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vinegar or suka (you can use 4 tbsp lemon juice)
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
Cover tightly with a plastic wrap or foil and chill for 6 hours or overnight.
Remove plastic wrap.
Pre heat cooking oil and fry beef between 4 to 6 minute until brown.
NOTE: if you are using the tougher parts of beef like chuck or shoulder, you will need to pre boil the meat first then add oil as the water dries up in the pan. This will make the beef tender before you fry it in oil.
Serve with fried rice and fried egg.
