How to make bangus sisig (milkfish)
- Prep time: 30 minutes
- Cooking time: 2 minutes per batch
- Yields: 16 bite size appetizers
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- ½ red onion, peeled and chopped (1/2 cup)
- 2 tbsp ginger, peeled and chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 whole milk fish, boneless, fried, flaked (yields 2 ½ cups)
- ½ to 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 large banana pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 to 2 tbsp real mayonnaise
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Heat oil in a skillet.
- Add onion and ginger, stir and cook for 30 seconds over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add fish, gently stir before adding peppers.
- Add mayonnaise
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add soy sauce.
- Serve in cucumber rings as appetizer.
